Bryan Guy Adams, OC OBC (born November 5, 1959) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, musician, producer, actor, social activist, and photographer. Adams has been one of the most successful figures in the world of rock music over the past three decades. He is known for his strong raucous and energetic voices live performances, and has sold over 100 million albums, becoming one of the best selling music artists in the world and the highest selling Canadian rock artist of all time. 

Adams came to prominence in North America with his album Cuts Like a Knife and became a worldwide star with his 1984 album Reckless.  In 1991, she launched her popular wake the neighbors album included "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You", one of the best-selling singles of all time. 

For his contributions to music, Adams has won many awards and nominations, including 20 Juno Awards among 56 nominations, 15 nominations for Grammy Awards, including a win for best written specifically for a film or television in 1992 song has also won MTV, ASCAP, American Music Awards, two Ivor Novello Awards for song composition and has been nominated five times for Golden Globes and three times for Academy Awards for his compositions for films. 

Adams was awarded the Order of Canada and Order of British Columbia for contributions to popular music and philanthropic work via his own foundation, which helps improve education for people around the world.

Adams was inducted into the Walk of Fame in March 2011 and Canada's Walk of Fame in 1998, and in April 2006 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame Canadian Music Canadian Juno Awards. In 2008, Bryan was ranked 38 on the list of all time best artists in the Billboard Hot 100 50th Anniversary Charts. The January 13, 2010, he received the Humanitarian Award Allan Waters for his part in numerous charitable campaigns and concerts during his career, and on 1 May 2010 was given the Performing Arts the Governor General's Award for his 30 years of contributions to the arts.
