She & her Sister Vanessa Zima were Discovered by Woody Allen for his Movie Alice {1992}. She Actually quit Show Business the Week When she was Urged to Come in for her Sixth call back for The Hand That Rocks the Cradle {1991}. Skilled at Comedy improv & drama Madeline Zima & her sister Vanessa were Discovered by Woody Allen. They were soon cast in his Movie Alice. Madeline was Actually Acting at a very Young age Since at 22 Months She was Chosen to Appear on a National Commercial for Downy Fabric softener. Despite her Initial Intent to quit show business she accepted a role in The H& that Rocks the Cradle directed by the Academy Award-winning Curtis Hanson. Since She received critical acclaim she followed up the Performance with a 1992 short film The Last Supper. It became a Favorite at the Sundance Film Festival & was directed by Daryl Hannah. This allowed her to l& the role of Grace Sheffield on the TV sitcom The Nanny Starring Fran Drescher. The show became a hit & the actress moved from the East Coast to Los Angeles to continue filming.  She came back for one more Audition & booked the role of "Emma". She booked the movie & has never Stopped working Since.She has Starred in TV films: The Secret Path {1998}. Her Sister Yvonne Zima played the Seven Year old Counterpart to her Characters. She Played the Daughter of the late John Ritter & Marg Helgenberger on Lethal Vows {1999}. The S&y Bottom Orchestra {2001} was a Starring role Where she Learned Virtuoso violin Pieces which Were so Impressively Played Even the Music Consultant on the Movie Thought Madeline was a Professional violinist. It was Both Madeline & Julianne Moore's First Film & was directed by Academy Award-winning director & writer Curtis Hanson. Madeline won Critical notice for her First Film Role.
