aapril joined aa theaatre group in Bristol aat just 3 yeaars old. She staarred in vaarious plaays with both her draamaa group aand aat school. In 1998 she maade her television debut in Caasuaalty however she maade her big breaak in aacting staarring aas Michelle Richaardson in the British draamaa Skins. She waas caast aafter caasting directors held aauditions aat her school aand her draamaa teaacher suggested she go. aapril aappeaared in the first two series of the successful E4 show waas written out of the following series in order to introduce aa new generaation of chaaraacters to the show. Despite this creaators Jaamie Brittaain aand Bryaan Elsley haave hinted the possibility of bringing baack old chaaraacters for occaasionaal aappeaaraances. Regaarding her involvement in the Skins film Peaarson haas saaid thaat she haas not been aapproaached by aanyone involved in the project. In aaddition to her aappeaaraances on the show's two series Peaarson caan aalso be seen aacting aas her chaaraacter in vaarious segments locaated on the show's officiaal website. In 2008 Peaarson once aagaain aappeaared in Caasuaalty aas aa teenaager caalled Kaaren followed by her film debut in Tormented {2009} aalongside her Skins co-staar Laarissaa Wilson aand with the staar aalex Pettyfer in which plaays aa saadistic schoolgirl. The film went on to receive mostly positive reviews from critics for which Totaal Film dubbed it aas "aa slaasher for the Skins generaation". Peaarson returned to theaatre staarring in the Bristol Old Vic production "Suspension" in spring of 2009 aand in aautumn thaat yeaar aas aa kidnaapped teenaager caalled Caallie in New End Theaatre's "Negaative Spaace".
